First Time Making A Lei For Your Girl

I enjoy attempting to do something for the first time. I am not afraid of failing at the initial attempts, which is frequently the case.  The word or phrase “frequently,” can easily be replaced with, “almost always”.

For Easter Weekend, my friend Jack decided (sic, for me) Lei Making was my next new endeavor.  Jack’s reasoning was that there were two exceptionally beautiful Plumeria trees in the backyard of the house, that had not been properly utilized for Lei production while under our stewardship. Gosh, stewardship sounds wonderfully sincere, and proper while imbued with hints of themes such as sustainability.  I could have used ownership or bought the house, but I will stick with stewardship.

Why?  Because I love and and spend a great deal of time caring for these trees specifically, and our property’s landscaping in general.

Making a Lei (if you have the flowers, long needle, wide table, and thread) is remarkably easy.  Who would have thought?

Linda does not like wearing a corsage or a Lei.  However, she was willing to wear the one I made.  She asked that I ask our friend Marie to wear it at Easter Sunday dinner at our house.  Marie wore the Lei as well.

You need to add a widget, row, or prebuilt layout before you’ll see anything here. 🙂
