A Hop to the Top of Horton Peak

While hiking up to Horton Peak, as if out of nowhere, the lakes appear. They are surrounded by the jagged peaks of the Sawtooth mountains, blue skies, and green forest.  The view can take your breath away.

Fall-time is magnificent in the White Clouds of Idaho.  The period of time to travel in them unencumbered by inclement weather is short.  Too short in my book.

A Reconnaissance Like No Other

Glassford Peak is on my mind.  The mountain has been on my mind for the past 40 years. I have yet to climb it. Glassford (11,602 ft.) is buried in the middle of the Boulder Hemmingway Wilderness.  It is the third highest peak in the Boulder Mountain Range.
